The photographer at center of a Facebook group where brides and grooms shared stories, is Kelsea Hopkins of Dear Tomasina Stills and Films based in Eaton.
News Center 7’s Monica Castro did some digging, and found Hopkins was in Richmond on Thursday for one her four court cases in Wayne County.
In the spring, Madeline Secrist of Mason spoke to WHIO, one of many brides claiming to be a victim of Hopkins and Dear Tomasina Stills and Films.
“When she was getting hard to get a hold for the engagement session I started looking her up and that’s when I noticed that she had terrible reviews online,” Secrist said. “It’s just been a nightmare.”

In the Wayne County court case, Hopkins owes a woman more than $1,000. She is ordered to appear every two weeks and pay $50, but court staff said she has missed a few court dates. As of Friday, she still has not paid the minimum $50.
When WHIO previously spoke to Hopkins, she said she was sorry for not fulfilling her obligations.
“I completely understand her anger, or her unhappiness with the timeline. There was a lot of back and forth. I think that there were times I took long to respond, she took long to respond,” Hopkins said.
Hopkins also said at the time she took on too many projects and needed to get better.
