It’s OK for a landscaping and lawn services to mow residential and commercial properties.

Cooper said the business can operate, but within limits.

He reversed his decision after consulting with the Ohio Department of Health, he said during a Monday afternoon press conference on the coronavirus situation.

While the businesses are able to mow residential and commercial lawns, Coooper said landscaping is only permitted on commercial properties.

Work on residential properties that promotes safety and sanitation, such as insect control, is allowed.

Lawn care employees must maintain social distancing and disinfecting as outlined by the governor’s stay-at-home order, and Public Health workers may randomly inspect lawn care companies to make sure the governor’s order is being followed, Cooper said.
