Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers is scheduled to open its third Dayton-area restaurant in July, according to our news partner, Dayton Daily News.

The new location at 7831 Old Troy Pike broke ground this week and will be Raising Cane’s 37th restaurant in Ohio, a spokeswoman for Raising Cane’s Ohio said in a release.

The president of the Ohio franchisee for Raising Cane's praised the community for its "great foundation" of resources in confirming his company's plans to this news outlet in October.

“We are excited to continue to grow in the Dayton area and bring Raising Canes to the Huber Heights community,” Eric Ongaro, president of Raising Canes Ohio, said. “The Huber Heights location was very interesting to us, as it boasts a very diverse area with a great foundation of community resources ... .”

Raising Cane’s Ohio opened its first Dayton-area location on Ohio 725 in Washington Twp. in 2017, and opened its second Dayton-area location across from The Greene in Beavercreek in 2018. Earlier this year, the franchisee’s plans to open a location on Far Hills Avenue in Kettering were dropped after opposition from neighbors.
