UPDATE @ 1:22 a.m. (March 18): SWAT has joined Montgomery County Sheriff's deputies in the standoff at a Harrison Twp. residence, where a man is refusing to come out after firing a weapon in the basement.
Two children were in the house at the time.
No injuries have been reported.

There are several deputies staged outside a home in Harrison Twp. where a caller to 9-1-1 said one of two children inside said their father was firing a weapon.
“There’s two kids in the house and an adult in the house shooting,” a woman caller driving to the address on Elm Grove Drive told the 9-1-1 operator/dispatcher.

The woman told the operator/dispatcher a 14-year-old girl and a 7-year-old boy were in the house. The woman said the girl spoke with her by phone and described the gunfire.
“The young girl said the gun went off twice. It was downstairs in the basement. The little girl’s scared to go downstairs,” the woman said.
The woman, who did not give her name, is believed to have had the girl’s sibling in her vehicle.
“Their Dad is in the house and the one doing the shooting,” the woman told the operator/dispatcher. “They said he’s in the basement. Shooting a gun.”
INITIAL REPORT
Montgomery County Sheriff's deputies are staged outside a residence on Elm Grove Drive in Harrison Twp., where a man reportedly fired a weapon in the basement of the home with at least two juveniles inside.
The report of the shots fired was made about 9:50 p.m., according to a Montgomery County Regional Dispatch sergeant.
There is no indication anyone in the residence has been hit by the gunfire, according to regional dispatch.
Deputies, at 10:30 p.m., were trying to communicate with the man in an attempt to coax him out of the residence.
