Additional jurisdictions in Montgomery County were notified that no one was found in the water in Clark County, in the event a person is found downstream.
The empty raft was found a short distance downstream where a 13-year-old girl was hit by an SUV Saturday night. The girl was hit while deflating an inner tube she used while tubing on the river with her family, according to state troopers.
Rescue crews said Monday they were unsure if the empty raft found today belonged to the girl or her family.

An empty raft found on the Mad River in Clark County has prompted a large emergency response to determine if anyone is now missing in the river.

The raft was discovered in the river near the intersection of Lower Valley Pike and Old Mill Road in Mad River Twp. around 8:30 a.m., according to initial reports.
Crews on the scene are working to determine if the raft broke free upstream or if someone has fallen into the river and is in need of rescue.
