Two cars sustained an estimated $20,000 damage combined when an engine fire spread to a second car Tuesday night in a parking garage at Miami Valley Hospital.

The fire was reported shortly after 7 p.m. It involved two cars on the third floor of the four-story parking garage at Magnolia and Brown streets in Dayton.

The fire started in the engine of a late model blue Dodge Charger, officials said.

It spread to a Chevrolet Traverse parked next to it.

There were no injuries reported, and the smoke did not enter the hospital.

Also, there was no structural damage to the parking garage, only discoloration of the concrete from the flames.
