Firefighters initially were in “rescue mode” after heavy flames and smoke were coming from a house and neighbors didn’t know whether the residents were home.
Crews were called around 4:20 p.m. Wednesday to the home in the 6800 block of Coronado Circle.

Smoke detectors were working, but a search determined that no one was home, officials said.
Firefighters from multiple area fire departments responded to the fire.
Firefighters are working to determine what caused the blaze and the extent of damages sustained.
