The flyover ramp from I-75 north to I-70 west has seen its share of crashes over the last half decade, however state figures show those crash numbers have declined.

I-75 North to I-70 West Ramp Crashes:

  • 2015: 9 crashes
  • 2016: 7 crashes
  • 2017: 5 crashes
  • 2018: 4 crashes

In 2019, the state has investigated three crashes on the ramp, including a crash involving a rolled semi that closed the ramp for several hours Wednesday into Thursday.

In January, a semi driver hauling approximately 2,400 feeder pigs lost control and overturned his semi.  Two to three dozen pigs were killed in the crash.

In March, a semi overturned on the ramp closing it for several hours while crews cleaned up the damage.  The driver in that crash was not hurt.

Following the crashes earlier this year, the Ohio Department of Transportation had placed an electronic billboard warning drivers to slow down on the ramp.
