Foodbank to start mobile food pantries in June

The Foodbank will start their mobile food pantries again in June.

Starting June 1, The Foodbank will hold mobile food pantries in Greene, Preble and Montgomery counties.

Mobile food pantries were discontinued when the coronavirus pandemic started. Lee Lauren Truesdale, chief development officer at The Foodbank, said they tried to choose locations that didn’t have a local food pantry open and locations that allowed for social distancing.

The Foodbank will require clients to stay six feet apart when they’re picking up food from the mobile food pantries. All staff will wear face masks and clients coming to get food are asked to wear a mask if they have one.

Complete coronavirus coverage

There will be a limit of two households per person at the mobile food pantries.
