Former state Sen. Tom Roberts is Ohio Conference NAACP president

Former state Sen. Tom Roberts is the new president of the Ohio Conference NAACP.

Roberts, who is second vice president of the Dayton Unit NAACP was elected to the statewide post on Sept. 9 in Columbus. His term expires Sept. 14, 2019.

Derrick L. Foward, Dayton Unit NAACP president, was elected statwide NAACP second vice president.

Denise Williams, Springfield Unit NAACP president, was elected third vice president for the state NAACP.

The Rev. Dr. Michael D. Reeves, Jr., Hamilton, West Chester, Fairfield Unit NAACP president, was elected assistant secretary for the state NAACP.

The new slate of officers was announced during the Ohio Conference NAACP's biennial election meeting, held at the Crowne Plaza Columbus North.
