Free Father's Day party to have food, giveaways, games and more

Church to host annual family event 3 p.m. Sunday at Sunset Park

MIDDLETOWN — Not sure what to buy Dad for Father’s Day? Is money a little tight?

How about taking him to a party?

For free.

For the fourth year, Berachah Baptist Church in Middletown is throwing a “Party in the Park” and inviting everyone.

And the best part?

You don’t have to bring a covered dish.

“We know the importance of a family being together on Father’s Day,” said the Rev. Lamar Ferrell, pastor of Berachah. “Not everyone can afford to go to Kings Island or something like that.”

The “Party in the Park” will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, June 20, at Sunset Park. Ferrell called it a “fun event” that traditionally attracts about 1,000 people.

The event will feature 11 inflatables, a rock-climbing wall, wagon rides, face-painting, entertainment, food and giveaways.
