Funeral services held for deadly Christmas Day West Third Street crash

The funeral service for the people killed in a crash on West Third Street on Christmas Day took place Saturday morning.

The services were held at Mt. Enon Baptist Church at 11 a.m.

The crash happened on West Third Street in Dayton around 11 a.m., Dec. 25 and four people, family members, were killed.

911 caller Shameka Littlejohn reported the crash, telling dispatchers that the car was on fire after crashing into a tree.

Renee Jones-Blevins, 49, the driver, Quaishia Jones, 28, Tae’Kwaun Jones, 10 and Mae’lah Jones, 5, all died in the crash. Four other victims were treated at Dayton Children’s Hospital for their injuries.

A Dayton Children’s representative said that two children remain in the hospital. Tre’Jsaun Jones, 12, is in critical condition and Armani Jones, 2, is in fair condition.
