Greene County deputy attacked during traffic stop

GREENE COUNTY, Ohio — A Greene County deputy was attacked by a drunken man during a traffic stop early Saturday morning.

Cruiser camera captured footage of Joshua Schell - who had been passed out in his car - waking up and assaulting Greene County deputy Josh Barrett after he approached the car.

Barrett, an 11-year veteran of the force, and Schell, a former decorated wrestler, struggled outside of the car; Barrett managed to get Schell into handcuffs after using a Taser on  him six times.

Both men were taken to Greene Memorial Hospital to be treated fro injuries.

Schell faces several felony and misdemeanor charges and is being held on a $50,000 bond.
