Greene County Board of Elections has certified the results from the Nov. 5 election.

Results from the election night count did not change and, although there were some close races, the results in those races were not close enough to trigger an automatic recount, according to GCBOE Director Llyn McCoy.

Results from one race, the Greene County parks levy, are being audited to comply with an order from the Ohio Secretary of State's office.

The order called for a county-wide candidate race to be audited, but because there were no such races, the county-wide parks levy was chosen for the audit, McCoy said.

The audit will help confirm that the new voting equipment from Dominion Voting Systems is working properly and providing accurate results.

"All 88 counties are participating in the audits and not everyone has new equipment," McCoy said.

A summary of the final, official results can be accessed from the Greene County Board of Elections website.
