‘Hamilton’ is coming to the area -- here’s how to see it

Yes, that "Hamilton." One of Broadway's hottest shows is coming very close to home.

"Hamilton: An American Musical" will be staged in Cincinnati as part of the Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Cincinnati series.

But there’s no need to rush to brush up on your 18th century hip-hop just yet.

The show will be part of the Broadway in Cincinnati’s 2018-2019 season. No dates or times have been announced.

There is at least one thing you can do to increase your chance of getting a tickets.

"Subscribers from the 17/18 season will have first access to Hamilton (tickets)when they renew their subscription for the 18/19 season," a notice on Cincinnati in Broadway's website says.

The Tony Award-winning Lin-Manuel Miranda musical is based on Ron Chernow's biography of Alexander Hamilton, one of this nation's founding fathers.

Hamilton will be in Cleveland as part of Playhouse Square’s 2017/2018 season.
