The left lanes of both northbound and southbound I-75 remain blocked near Tipp City due to high water, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The other lanes of northbound I-75, which were initially shut down, have been allowed to reopen.
According to report gravel in a water drainage area is causing the rain water to back up and flood the highway, according to emergency scanner traffic.
FIRST REPORT
All northbound Interstate 75 lanes are shut down north of Tipp City due to high water on the highway, according to dispatchers with the Piqua Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
High water was reported in the northbound lanes just north of the state Route 571 exit to Tipp City just before 1:30 p.m.

Heavy rain is moving through the area, however gravel in a water drainage area is causing the rain water to back up and flood the highway, according to emergency scanner traffic.
Ohio Department of Transportation crews have been requested to the scene, reports indicate.
