Police said a 64-year-old man badly beaten with a cane crawled out of his house and into the street, where deputies found him.
Deputies responding to another call found the man in the street around 11:20 a.m. in the 3600 block of Siebenthaler Avenue and originally believed he had been hit by a car.

The man was able to tell deputies a woman he knew came into the house, robbed him and hit him with a cane.
The woman was found and arrested down the street. Her name has not yet been released.
The man suffered injuries not considered life-threatening, deputies said.
