The fire is contained and the cause is under investigation.

The family was able to get out of the home safely after a neighbor saw smoke and alerted them.

There are smoke alarms in the house, but the smoke did not get high enough to set off the alarms, said Fire Chief Mark Ashworth.

A water main broke when firefighters pressurized the lines to put out of the fire.

They were able to use another hydrant that had less pressure, but were still able to contain the fire.
