Police: Observant citizen spots endangered missing man from Huber Heights

UPDATE @ 10 p.m: An observant citizen is to thank for locating a missing 72-year-old man from Huber Heights Saturday night, police confirm.

Kash Sewell Jr. was last seen earlier in the day on Rustic Woods. He was reported missing, and considered endangered due to him having dementia, a heart condition, and in need of his medication.

Around 9 p.m., a resident saw Sewell sitting at a park bench at Taylorsville Metropark, approached him and Sewell confirmed who he was, police said.

The citizen contacted Huber Heights Dispatch Center, who then reached out to Sewell’s family and they were able to respond to the park and take Sewell home with them.

“The police division would like to extend a thank you to the Huber Heights Fire Division, Regional Strike Team, Ohio State Highway Patrol – Aviation, Five Rivers Metroparks, and other agencies for their combined assistance”, police said in a statement.

A 72-year-old man was reported missing Saturday from the area of Rustic Woods Drive.

Kash Sewell Jr. is 5-foot-9, 170 pounds, has thinning grey hair and a light beard and mustache. He was last seen wearing a green shirt and grey shorts.

Sewell has dementia and a heart condition and needs his medication.
