Rodney Boone, 60, was driving a Chevrolet Uplander east on state Route 121 near Billman Road about 2 p.m. when he apparently failed to maintain control and traveled off the right side of the road.

The minivan struck a guard rail and turned over before coming to rest on its top, the sheriff's office said in a statement released Friday evening.

Boone was taken to Wayne HealthCare.

His passenger, Scheila Boone, 57, had to be extricated before she could be taken to Miami Valley Hospital by Medflight.

Friday night, a sheriff's sergeant said the conditions of the victims were not known, but their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
