Jim Zehringer named new director of ODNR

Fort Recovery resident Jim Zehringer moves from the Ohio Department of Agriculture to Director of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources by appointment of Ohio Gov. John Kasich. The appointment was made late Tuesday afternoon in Columbus.

Zehringer replaces David Mustine as chief of ODNR. Mustine moves to Jobs-Ohio.

Zehringer is a former state representative and served as a county commissioner in Mercer County.

Ohio's state veterinarian Dr. Tony Forshey has been named by the Kasich as the interim Director of the State Department of Agriculture.
