Kettering looking to fill 100 jobs

The city of Kettering is looking to fill more than 100 jobs this summer through the Parks and Recreation Department.

Mary Beth Thaman, director of the Parks and Recreation Department, said the positions are for temporary summer jobs, with most geared toward college students and recent high school graduates.

Jobs will start at minimum wage at 40 hours per week, but experience could lead to increases in hourly wages, Thamanm said. The program lasts from the first week of June through the second week of August.

Thaman said the department is looking to fill jobs “right now.”

“We have 100 jobs, if you’re looking to make a difference in somebody’s life, we have the job for you,” she said.

Positions include lifeguards, grounds keeping and camp counselors.
