The 75-year-old Carlisle man thrown from his vehicle when he crashed into a semi on I-75 north near Austin Boulevard Friday is improving.

Darrell Holderman was hurt in the crash on the highway around 3:40 p.m. Friday, which shut down the northbound lanes for hours.

Holderman was driving north when he drove off the left side of the road before crashing into the semi.

Holderman was taken to Kettering Medical Center, where a spokesman said he was listed in good condition Tuesday morning.

Several witnesses reported that Holderman over corrected while making a lane change on the highway.
