Speed likely the cause of single-car crash on Sweet Potato Ridge

Speed was likely the cause of an injury crash on Sweet Potato Ridge in Englewood, officials on scene say.

Impairment is another likely cause, and troopers will be speaking with the driver to better understand what happened leading up to the crash.

UPDATE @ 4:32 a.m.

Two were injured in the single-car crash on Sweet Potato Ridge in Englewood, according to a trooper on scene. 

Those injured, the driver and passenger, are suffering minor injuries after crashing into a pole.

Sweet Potato Ridge Road is blocked off while crews work to clean debris off the roadway.

INITIAL REPORT @ 4 a.m.

A second medic was dispatched to an accident reported around 3:30 a.m. in the 4500 block of Sweet Potato Ridge in Englewood.

Clayton has fire and police crews on scene.
