Police identify motorcyclist killed in weekend crash on U.S. 22 in Warren County

Hamilton Twp. police are investigating a two-vehicle crash that killed a motorcyclist Sunday on U.S. 22 in Warren County.

The motorcyclist, identified as James Garner, 68, of Clarksville, was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, according to police.

Officers responded to the area of U.S. 22 near Old 3C Highway around 3:50 p.m. Sunday.

A preliminary investigation revealed that 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle heading west on U.S. 22 crossed the center line and was hit by head-on a 2018 Ford Escape driven by Gary Gabbard of Highland Heights, Kentucky, police said.

The motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries. Gabbard and his 16-year-old passenger were not injured.
