Power back on after storms knock out service to 3,500 in Kettering, Centerville

UPDATE @ 12:40 a.m. (May 2): Power is restored after strong storms knocked out power to more than 3,500 Dayton Power & Light customers in Kettering and Centerville.

Customers lost power around 9:40 p.m. when storms moved through the area.

Crews found a broken fuse in Santa Rosa Drive in Kettering, and worked to restore power those experiencing an outage, DP&L operations manager Kelly Millhouse said.

There were six or seven DP&L trucks spotted in the area of East Stroop Road and Glenheath Drive, which intersects Santa Rosa Drive.
