Andrew Craig Ewing, 42, pleaded no contest to a lesser charge of disorderly conduct in Columbia County, Wisconsin court late last month.  As part of the plea, Ewing entered into a deferred prosecution agreement, which will allow the case to be dismissed after 12 months if he receives domestic violence treatment and has no additional violations, according to court officials.

Ewing was initially charged with felony domestic violence following the June 23 incident at Field’s Park Motel in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin.

The woman told police Ewing threw her to the ground and “proceeded to punch her in the face with a closed fist” multiple times, according to an incident report filed with the Wisconsin Dells Police Department.

“He is currently on leave, and we are awaiting the outcome of the investigation,” Northridge Superintendent Dave Jackson said following the incident.  We’re working to confirm Ewing’s status with the district following the latest court case developments.

Jackson said the district has not had any disciplinary concerns with Ewing, who has been high school principal for two years and has worked in the district for more than a decade.
