Plows were struck on I-70 and I-75 over the weekend, according to ODOT.

ODOT urges drivers to remember distance, speed and vision are all important when travelling around snow plows.

“Give snowplows room to work. The plows are wide and can cross the center line or shoulder. Don’t tailgate and try not to pass. If you must pass, take extreme caution and beware of the snow cloud,” ODOT said on its website.

The department also said that snow plows travel below the speed limit and to be patient if you are behind one of the vehicles.

Plow drivers also have a limited field of vision, so ODOT said its important to keep your distance and watch for any sudden stops or turns.
