485 motorists were checked while passing through the checkpoint on Colonel Glenn Highway between Zink Road and Presidential drive.
Of those 485 motorists, 9 who had consumed alcohol were evaluated for impairment but were not arrested.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol, the Greene County Sheriff's Office and the Beavercreek Police Department partnered for the traffic stops.

The checkpoint will be held on Colonel Glenn Highway in Greene County.
The purpose of the checkpoint is to deter and intercept impaired drivers. The OSHP checkpoint will also be partnering with nearby saturation patrols to aggressively combat impaired-driving.

Ohio State Highway Patrol has announced an OVI checkpoint will be held in Greene County Saturday evening.
The OVI checkpoint, funded by federal grant funds, is planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers.

"Based on provisional data, there were 392 OVI-related fatal crashes in which 430 people were killed last year in Ohio," said Lt. Matt Schmenk, the Xenia Post commander in a news release. "State troopers make on average 25,000 OVI arrests each year in an attempt to combat these dangerous drivers.

“OVI checkpoints are designed to not only deter impaired driving but to proactively
remove these dangerous drivers from our roadways," Schmenk said.
The checkpoint location will be announced Saturday morning.
