One taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after struck by vehicle in Dayton

UPDATE @ 11:55 p.m.:

The male struck by a vehicle Saturday in the 1900 block of S. Gettysburg Avenue was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to Sgt. Clingner with the Dayton Police Department.

The cause is unknown at this time.

The incident is currently under investigation.

The males identity has not yet been released.

FIRST REPORT:

One person was transported to Miami Valley Hospital after being stuck by a vehicle Saturday in front of the MonDay Correctional Institute, according to Montgomery County Regional dispatch.

Crews responded to the 1900 block of S. Gettysburg Avenue around 4:15 p.m.

According to initial reports, the person was still breathing and told not to move when medics arrived.

There is no word on injuries at this time.
