Before the ride started, organizer Roger Bowersock warned riders that if you fail to stop at a stop sign or go left of center “you could die.”
A dozen of extra Miami County deputies also were patrolling the bike routes to help prevent accidents.
The event started at 8:30 a.m. with the kid races going first.
All of the participants who finished the ride received a medal.
