Pedestrian hit by vehicle in Springfield, taken to hospital, police report

A pedestrian hit by a vehicle Monday night in the area of Cypress Street and East Southern Avenue in Springfield has been taken to Springfield Regional Medical Center.

The incident was reported just before 7 p.m. and the victim reportedly was found breathing when a medic crew arrived.

Police were at the hospital at last check. The condition of the victim, believed to be a female, was not immediately known.
