Preble County Court awarded nearly $143K in technology grants

An Ohio Supreme Court Justice will travel to Preble County this week to award a court technology grant.

Justice Judith French will deliver a $142,851 check to Preble County Probate and Juvenile Court Judge Jennifer Overmyer at the county courthouse during at a ceremony.

The funds will be used to upgrade the court's case management system.

This honor is part of a $2.9 million worth of technology grants that'll go to more than two dozen countries and cover 47 projects, which include case management upgrades, public online access to records, systems to file and pay fees, hardware upgrades, security equipment and a more.

In the last five years, the Supreme Court has awarded over $14 million in technology grants.
