Repairs to damaged utility lines blocks part of Dayton road

Police have blocked a portion of Free Pike in Dayton following damage to multiple utility lines Wednesday morning.

Emergency crews blocked Free Pike near Brumbaugh Boulevard around 7:40 a.m. after discovering wires to at least four poles were damaged and in the roadway.

DP&L and AT&T crews have been requested to the scene to make repairs. There are no significant power outages reported in the area.

It is not known how long Free Pike is expected to be blocked.
