FIRST REPORT:
The southbound lanes of Interstate 71 are shut down near Ohio 123 following reports of a pedestrian strike Tuesday afternoon.
Law enforcement officers on the highway reported one person was hit by a vehicle in the southbound lanes of I-71 between the Ohio 123 and Ohio 48 exits around 1:55 p.m., according to emergency scanner traffic.
A medical helicopter was also requested to respond to the scene, according to initial reports.
Warren County - All lanes of southbound Interstate 71 are closed between State Route 48 and SR 123 due to a crash. Seek alternate routes.
