I-71 South reopens in Warren County after pedestrian hit by vehicle

UPDATE @ 3:05 p.m.: 

State troopers have reopened all southbound lanes of I-71 at Ohio 123 in Warren County following an earlier crash involving a pedestrian.

The condition of the victim was not immediately released and additional details were not available.

FIRST REPORT:

The southbound lanes of Interstate 71 are shut down near Ohio 123 following reports of a pedestrian strike Tuesday afternoon.

Law enforcement officers on the highway reported one person was hit by a vehicle in the southbound lanes of I-71 between the Ohio 123 and Ohio 48 exits around 1:55 p.m., according to emergency scanner traffic.

A medical helicopter was also requested to respond to the scene, according to initial reports.

 

It was not known when the highway was expected to reopen.
