Serious injuries reported after 2-vehicle crash, car hits house in Darke County

A woman was taken to the hospital Friday afternoon with serious injuries after a two-vehicle crash forced her car into a house.

The woman, identified as 59-year-old Sandra Lacey of Laura, was driving a 2007 Honda Accord west on Delisle Fourmans Road around 3:15 p.m. when a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by 39-year-old Timothy Garnett of Somerville south on West Grove Road, did not stop at the intersection, according to preliminary investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.

Both vehicles traveled off the roadway, and the Accord hit a house southwest of the intersection.

Lacey was taken to Miami Valley Hospital. No other injuries were reported.

Garnett was cited for the crash, according to the sheriff’s office.
