Sheriff: Man, 57, dies in Mercer County tractor accident

A 57-year-old man died of injuries he suffered after he was pinned underneath a tractor Monday morning on his property.

Douglas J. Randall was operating a Ford 8N tractor alone in a wooded area beside his residence in the 6300 block of Fleetfoot Road in Jefferson Twp. near Celina. It appeared he had been attempting to remove a large log when the tractor overturned and landed on top of him, according to a release from Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey.
