DETAILED FORECAST
Overnight: Most of the rain is gone but a light wintry mix with snow/sleet/freezing rain could pass through, Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Dontae Jones said. Slick spots, especially on bridges and overpasses, are possible. Temperatures will settle into the upper 20s. It will be breezy with wind chills in the teens by morning.
Wednesday: A light wintry mix is possible for the morning with a few slick spots possible. It will be dry or much of the day as highs reach the mid-30s. A mix of freezing rain, snow and sleet arrives in the late afternoon and into the early evening. A light accumulation of snow through the night is possible in the northwestern Miami Valley, with about an inch of snow/sleet. The Dayton area could see an icy glaze early in the night, which is the greatest possible hazard and could create slippery roadways overnight and into the Thursday morning commute. Slightly higher temperatures are expected to slowly creep in overnight and could transition to a cold rain/wintry mix before tapering off Thursday morning.
