Son of Beast will remain closed

MASON — The Son of Beast roller coaster at Kings Island will remain closed for the second straight season.  The ride was closed in the summer of 2009 when a rider claimed it caused a blood vessel in her brain to burst.  It had been closed before when structural failure caused more than two dozen people to be hurt.  Kings Island says the ride's future hasn't been determined at this point.  The Ohio Depart of Agriculture manages ride permits and says the amusement park hasn't applied for a permit for the ride.
