“To the district’s knowledge, there are no COVID-19 cases connected to Springboro Schools or Warren County; however the district is remaining vigilant,” district officials said in the letter.

Next Friday, the school district has a planned day off for students, and on March 18 the school has a scheduled early dismissal.

Both days are being used for In-Service days where teachers will be trained on procedures involving remote learning in the event the district deems it necessary to close the schools.

Spring athletic practices and games will also continue as scheduled and the school is working with the Ohio High School Athletic Associate to stay up to date with any changes to those plans, school officials announced in the letter.

Stemfest was previously scheduled for March 23 and will now be rescheduled to May 4.

“Our responsibility to the larger issue of public health require us to be proactive, rather than reactive, in making decisions that affect the well-being of our students, parents, staff, and surrounding community,” school officials said.
