One of the places impacted in Miami County is the area of Kessler-Frederick Road near West Milton.
Neighbor Jenny Wheelock talked to News Center 7’s Monica Castro about her experience and what she’s doing to help the neighborhood.
Wheelock said that although she didn’t hear any trees breaking, she heard sirens, lost power, and said the wind and lightning was pretty bad.
One family that knocked on Wheelock’s door to let them in because their house had been destroyed was first picked up by a storm chaser along the road because their house was going to cave in. Her family did they best they could to help the neighboring family out.
“Just very emotional to see this happening, devastating.”
Wheelock said it doesn’t look like anything touched their house, but knows the neighborhood may take months to clean up.
