Temporary stop signs will be going up at the new intersection of Center Point Drive and Clyo Road.

Center Point Drive has been extended behind Walmart off Wilmington Pike and now connects to Clyo; the new roadway is expected to be open to traffic by the end of this month, according to Sugarcreek Twp. Administrator Barry Tiffany.

A traffic signal is scheduled to be installed in September but temporary stop signs will be used until then, Tiffany said.

The Center Point Drive extension was necessary to provide access to the White Oak Landing residential development and to about 80 acres of undeveloped land, Tiffany said.

“Now development will happen faster and easier. We are being proactive,” he said.

White Oak Landing is being developed by Redwood Living. The plan is to build single-story ranch style multi-family apartment units. More than 80 units have been built and they are “going quickly,” Tiffany said.
