It will be hot and sunny today, as part of a pattern of hot, dry weather that will stick with us through the holiday weekend, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Highs today will be near 90 degrees, though the NWS forecast the humidity will be less humid than it has been. Temperatures will fall to around 67 degrees overnight.

Tomorrow, it will be even hotter, with highs of around 94 degrees under sunny skies, falling to around 69 degrees overnight.

For Independence Day, conditions will be clear and sunny, with highs again reaching to around 94 degrees during the day. At night, it will still be mostly clear, as temperatures cool off around 69 degrees.
