The forums will be held nightly from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday at the Hamilton branch of the Lane Library on North Third Street.
The forums are free and open to the public. Aldridge said he and Mosby are looking forward to discussing topics that are important to Hamilton as well as state and nationwide issues, including the economy and immigration.
The meetings will be broadcast live as part of a special three-day series on “Breaking the Silence,” the show that brings life through truth via talk radio.
Breaking the Silence is the brainchild of Aldridge, a graduate of the Ohio Center for Broadcasting. After meeting Ron Mosby in April 2007, the two launched the first episode of Breaking the Silence in July 2007 on WCVX, a Cincinnati area conventional radio station.
“We consider ourselves the “Mike and Mike” of Christian talk radio,” Aldridge said. Noting they come from different backgrounds and experiences, but are unified in their faith. “We don’t agree on everything ... there is a 20-year age difference between us.”
Mosby said they decided to broadcast from Hamilton because “we have an opportunity there to introduce the Kingdom of God to listeners.”
He said they want everyone to attend and participate, and perhaps see issues from a different perspective.
Aldridge, a coordinator for diverse student recruitment and programming in the admissions department of Miami University Middletown, has been involved in a number of projects, including a local cable television show and the production of a short film entitled “God’s Trombones,” which premiered at Miami University in July 2008. Additionally, he won a Blue Chip award for Best Informative Talk or News Show for his Real Talk 24/7, which aired on TV Middletown.
Mosby has been in the radio industry since college, where he began as a host of a weekend show on WFIB, the local AM radio station at the University of Cincinnati. Prior to launching “Breaking the Silence,” Mosby was a weekend host at Cincinnati-based WAKW. His background includes being a chief of staff for three different members of Cincinnati City Council, a public information officer for the Ohio Department of Transportation and a senior manager of public affairs for Walmart.
“Breaking the Silence” can be heard live on Wednesday evenings at 5:30 p.m. at www.blogtalkradio.com/breakingthesilence.
