2 arrested after drug task force raids two Dayton homes

Two people were arrested as a part of a long-term, task force drug trafficking investigation in Dayton Wednesday, according to officials.

The Montgomery County RANGE Task Force executed searches in the 2500 block of Catalpa Drive and the 2200 block of Hepburn Avenue today, officials said in a media release Wednesday afternoon.

CRIME: Convicted killers plead guilty in brutal attack on prison guard

Investigators seized crack cocaine, cash and several guns during the searches at both locations.

Demetrus Dunson, 40, and Odell Matthews, 62, were arrested and booked into the Montgomery County Jail on suspicion of drug possession charges.

Additional charges are pending review by the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office, officials said.
