If doing your taxes isn’t scary enough, now dangerous, fake tax-related emails may be coming to your inbox to try to steal your personal information.
IBM warns TrickBot malware infections have been found lurking in scam emails which appear to be coming from accounting and payroll firms, like Paychex and ADP.
If you click on the attachment which appears to contain tax billing records, the malware “silently infects devices for the primary purpose of stealing valuable data such as banking credentials,” according to the IBM alert.
