Teen hit by car at Dayton intersection, cited for jaywalking

A teenager was transported to an area hospital after he was hit by a car on East Fifth Street in Dayton Thursday afternoon.

Police and medics were called to the intersection of East Fifth Street and Linden Avenue around 1:10 p.m. after the crash was reported.

Officers said the teen’s injuries are not believed to be life threatening and he was alert and talking after the crash.

The teen will be cited for jaywalking, police said.
