Boston Stoker coffee Dayton Ohio celebrates birthday with special

Boston Stoker celebrates its 43rd anniversary today, Tuesday Sept. 13, by offering $5 off 12-ounce bags of coffee and $1 off all beverages.

“Our customers are why we’ve been growing over the last 43 years,” Boston Stoker President Henry Dean said in a release. “This is our way of saying thanks, and here’s to the next 43.”

Boston Stoker operates locations in downtown Dayton, Washington Twp., Clayton, Troy, and inside the Dayton International Airport, as well as a location in Columbus. The promotional offer is available at all retail stores.

The Vandalia-based coffee roaster and coffee shop retailer “started as a pipe tobacco and custom pipe shop in 1973, and as the times changed, we started offering our tobacco customers complimentary coffee, and then in 1983 we started roasting our own coffee,” Dean said.

Boston Stoker captured the designation of "Best Coffee Shop/Roaster" in Ohio in the Ohio Magazine 2016 Best of Ohio Readers' Ballot.
