Trotwood receives grants to renovate Cultural Arts Center

The city of Trotwood has been awarded more than $400,000 in grants from the county and state to renovate the Cultural Arts Center in the 4000 block of Lake Center Drive.

The building has been closed for eight years, but now the city wants to house council meetings, city staff, community events and medical resources inside.

Trotwood Mayor Mary Mcdonald was very happy about the renovations stating, “We’ve made the turn and because of new investments within the city we are able to get back a building that meant a lot to our citizens.”

City council meetings are expected to take place at the Cultural Arts Center in the fall, but additional renovations will need more time.
