University of Dayton dorm floods after pipe bursts

A University of Dayton dorm is flooded due to a pipe that burst, according to a message sent to students.

The pipe burst in the Virginia W. Kettering dorm, and the second, third and fourth floors are flooded on the Stuart Hall side, said University officials.

According to a release, 58 students had to move temporarily to other residences on campus.

The dining hall at the complex was temporarily closed, but has reportedly reopened.

University officials said it was too early for an estimate on damages or when students will be allowed back in their rooms.
